work_smart Working hard and working smart are two different things. Even after working for long hours, you might not achieve the level of productivity that a smart worker can get in less time. We are currently in a phase where there is much of job pressure and unemployment all around. So, it is very important for us to be productive.

To improve performance and to enhance work effectiveness, we must try and do things that augment our work. This will not only boost our performance but will also increase our value to the employer.

If you think you can master the art of controlling people you are wrong, you will never be able to control people, you can just influence them. Whether we agree or not, we all wish to get the power or secret of influencing people at work. This is mainly because we want to progress at work by taking our works out from other people. So, what all is actually needed to influence people, read on to know about it.

The key to influence people depends on three main needs, including, symbolic rewards, security and material gains. Majority of people seek these three things and influencing them becomes easy if they get any one or all of these things from you at work. Now, let us elaborate these three things.

Symbolic rewards meaning praises or recognition. You will easily succeed in influencing anyone at work if you give the praise and recognition a person requires. This way the person feels special and obliged and in a way is influenced by you.
