It often happens that the entire paycheck goes in paying our credit card bills. This is true with many in today’s world as credit cards have almost become a way of life. It is frustrating when you can’t afford to have something that you want as all your money has gone to maintaining your credit card.

The problem lies within and so is the solution. With credits cards at our disposal we tend to splurge on items that we can barely afford and suffer later. The worst part is that we even end up purchasing stuffs that we don’t even need. Different people have different reasons for using their plastic cards, but consequences are always the same. Usage of credit card gives a psychological satisfaction that we aren’t actually spending real money. Studies reveal that people are more likely to shop with a credit card, than with cash.

There is no cure for temptation but the least one can do it try and avoid situations where he might have to use his card. Also, there is another theory which says that people with low self esteem tend to spend more. One has to understand that money doesn’t really determine who you are and what you are worth.

One needs to understand the value of money as a source to safety and a good life and not as a status symbol. Other ways to avoid using credit card is to make a habit of using cash for shopping and perhaps you can start with not carrying your cards when you go shopping. More than anything, it’s the mind and the psychology that needs to be changed.

Most of the people like parties and social networking and regard lonely people as boring. However, once in a day, we all should try to spend some time alone to reap the following benefits.

Staying alone for a while lets you relax. Someone rightly said that solitude is the best way to unwind and put your mind at peace. When alone, you get time to do many pending works and take many important decisions. In other words, spending time with yourself lets you put things in perspective.

You might wonder, but if you spend some time alone, you will end up spending time with other with more enjoyment. Apart from this, you will learn to be independent when you will spend some time alone by yourself be it for an hour or so.

The best part of being alone for sometime is that you get time to do things that you like and always want to do. In other words, you get time to pursue your hobbies. Try it out yourself by scheduling at least 15 minutes to spend alone with no one around and see how efficiently it calms you mind.
