Often in the struggle to impress someone, we tend to lose our own individuality. Some people feel happy for this compromise and some feel suffocated after it. So, if this is the case with you too and you are getting suffocated losing your own individuality, then try to maintain your individuality with the following tips.

Remember, that a true relationship is one for which you need not change yourself. In other words, a person who accepts you as you are is your true partner, so instead of changing your individuality try to analyze this. Moreover, you may even lose the interest of the other person in you when you will totally lose your identity.

Try to maintain your individuality by avoiding to blame yourself for any lose in your personal or professional life. Instead of feeling miserable after a lose, try to think of positive things and maintain your individuality. Instead of getting obsessed with others, try to care for self.

Determine what is essential for you in life and then take the action accordingly. This will help maintaining what is essential for you and your individuality. Always make it a point to strive for personal satisfaction and happiness rather than stressing to make the other person happy with your sacrifice.
