In fact, at times it becomes a challenge for many people.

It is in our nature to compare ourselves to others who are more fortunate than us, which really works as a fire to devastate our positive mental thinking. To avoid such feelings it is important to instigate positive thoughts and mental attitude in children from their early years. This, in a way, helps in turning them into positive thinking people in their later life.

Positive attitude helps tremendously in improving your outlook in general. It not only motivates you to face challenges that come your way, but also helps in dealing with it successfully.

To maintain a positive mental viewpoint, you must keep in mind few things, which helps in achieving the positive ability. The most important thing is to be yourself and be independent. Plan things that you want to do so as to realize your goals. That ways, you will be happy and full of positivity.

Another important thing that you should remember in that there are situations, which are beyond your control and you cannot do much about them. However, you can always control your mind and your thoughts to react to those situations.

So, to have a positive mental attitude you must try to turn depressing thoughts of negativity into positive vibrations. And this should also be practiced in children also.

Asthma in children can be quite a frustrating experience for the child as well as the parents. Such children suffer from separation anxiety and can really be a major worry for the parents. A recent study has however concluded that regular family mealtimes can go a long way in helping your child fight back this dreaded disease.

The study was carried out by Barbara Fiese along with her colleagues. Their study was based on two questions. The first one being how severe the asthma symptoms in a child and did it result in separation anxiety in the child. The second question was whether interaction with the family had any effect on the anxiety symptoms.

The reports of the study suggest that both questions have an affirmative answer. Fiese said that their study implied that a child has a better sense of security when he gets supportive interaction during the mealtimes with the family. This removes the separation anxiety symptoms from the children who in turn have improved lung function.

She also said that the family has a great role to play when it comes to a child managing his asthma symptoms. An organized and supportive environment can put away any worry or anxiety that your children may have. Family mealtimes are a good way to find out things about your child and the recurring nature of these meals help the parents to check the symptoms. Thus, regularity and predictability are the most important aspects of family mealtimes. Mealtimes reinforce the sense of safety in the child and make their lungs perform better.

The Christmas season though being very festive and entertaining had also been harassing for some parents with their little children around. However, the good thing for such parents is that a recent research has revealed that spanking your kids may actually help them getting brainier. The startling results from the research carried out by the professor of psychology at Calvin College in Michigan says that children who get a spanking from their parents show better performance in school when they are teenagers.

These kids are also more expected to indulge in voluntary work and are more likely to join the university than their counterparts. So, apparently parents should stop worrying about their child and all they need to do is to give them a smack to help their brains function properly. There is another school of thought though which feels smacking the child may drive him directionless and may make him destined for failure. The best way to take the best out of a child is to shower your love and sensitivity.

However, one would agree that smacking a child does become necessary at times to make sure that things are not getting out of control. The child should also be old enough to understand the reason behind the smacking that he gets from the parents as smacking a two year old would make just about no difference to his behaviour. Most children’s group oppose smacking as they consider it as a form of physical harassment which only causes long term harm to the children.

So, there is nothing to be a very worried about it. However, you need to know how to overcome your child’s phobias with the right methods.

Call it anxiety, phobias or anxiousness; many children start suffering from certain phobias right from their adolescent age. In fact, parents should be well aware that this a growing age and their kids are bound to face different emotions and that will include anxiety too.

Remember that no phobia can be cured as a whole, one can only reduce it to an extent. The most effective way of doing so is to reduce the risk that creates the feeling of a particular phobia in children. Take for instance, if a child is afraid of darkness, or height, don’t take him or her to such a surrounding.

For children who are suffering from too much anxiety, specialist suggests One-Session Treatments. These treatments are given by a therapist, who tries to find out the actual cause of the child’s anxiety and then tries to soothe him or her.
