The hectic nature of the modern world has made most people forget about one of the most important virtues in life called the silence. The inner silence is the most beautiful thing in this world. Many religions lay extra importance on various techniques of meditation simply because they believe it can lead to Nirvana and bliss.

Different religions like Buddhism, Judaism and Christianity have their own ways of accomplishing the pure silence. Silence also helps to find out the true flavor of any situation. The din and bustle of the modern life always makes one wonder where has all the silence gone. Considering silence a virtue may not be entirely true. The reason being many therapists may suggest that silence can be a symptom of many other things.

Someone who does not enjoy being in the company of others and mostly keeps to himself may be suffering from depression and may appear very silent to you. People with anxiety or suffering from a phobia also show the symptoms of silence as well. So, you are right if you think silence is not always welcomed. There are different ways by which you can use silence to your own advantage.

Silence can help in controlling impulsivity and explore your inner self. It gives you the chance to think before you say something and can be quite a difficult feat to achieve. It also let you listen to other people and discover your own self. Silence gives you the chance to listen to your own thoughts and feelings and can really make your life very beautiful if used correctly.
