How to avoid yawning during the day?

Nothing can be as relaxing and reenergizing than catching a nap during the day. It is even more welcomed if you are planning a night out with your buddies. The implications though can be quite damaging. There are chances that you would be yelled at by your teacher or get detained and may even lose your job. So if you had yourself deprived of that much needed sleep, you can try out these tips that will keep you wide awake during the day.

The first thing to keep in mind in your attempt to stay awake is to eat. This is because sleepiness is caused mainly due to an empty stomach. Eating ensures that the gland responsible for production of sleep causing hormones do not overpower you. Getting a good night’s sleep is also very important. You should make it a point to finish all your work in time so that you can hit the bed early and get a good night’s sleep. You can also keep your brain active by chewing gum or having something in your mouth. You can swallow the gum if you feel you are about to yawn.

You should also not let your thoughts wander as this may instantly put you to sleep. You can try the Listerine Pocket Packs which would help you a great deal to keep you awake.
