Language is just not verbal. There are certain nonverbal gestures which are effective than verbal communication. And one such source of nonverbal communication is an eye. The pupil of an eye discloses the human nature and many more things. Here are many things that your eyes reveal.

First thing that your eyes reveal is your thinking. Your pupils tend to get bigger while thinking hard and completing difficult tasks. The next thing is the workload. Your pupils get constricted when your brain is overloaded with work.

The next vital thing that your pupil reveals is about your brain. Doctors use PERRL test i.e. the pupils should be Equal, Round and Reactive to light to ensure that the patient’s brain is working properly. The size of the pupil also indicates whether the person is interested in your conversation or not.

If something new or interesting conversation is going on your pupil will dilate and if you are interested then only your pupil will remain dilated. Pupils expand when you are seduced or sexually aroused. Pupils constrict when you feel disgusting. Pupils also disclose whether you are open-minded or conservative.

Your pupils widen while seeing open-minded people but they contract when they come in contact with the conservative ones. When you are in some kind of pain your pupils expand. When you are taking drugs like alcohol or opioids your pupil contract while some other drugs like amphetamine or cocaine tend to dilate your pupil. And finally your whole personality can be revealed on the colored part i.e. iris of your eye.

Thus, speech is not always necessary for communication your eyes also play an integral part in your day to day communication.
